Privacy and login

Private channels privacy policy is clear and more detail than we usually see, with some useful information on what the service collect and what it doesn’t. The company says it doesn’t log a users traffic for the content of any communication.

There is a also know packet inspection of your traffic and no rate limiting of speeds. Its times when a user connects to private tunnel service they retain the following data for 14 to 30 days, the user’s IP address, the private tunnel IP address used by the user, connection start and stop time and total number of bytes used etc. This data is kept to deal with building issues, troubleshooting service offering evaluation, AUP issues, and for helping to prevent criminal activity performed over the service.

Being Run by the people behind openVPN is a huge PR plus for private tunnel, little else going for the service. The small network, below Park speed and lack of features doesn’t feel us with enthusiasm, add more people will be better of elsewhere.
